September 28th 9-11:30am | Summer Mushroom Walk
A presentation for new mycophiles on common, edible Maine mushrooms! Learn about the features for identification and habitats they are likely found.
We will start in the Hive with a one-hour presentation on local edible mushrooms and how to find them with with Denise, a Maine Master Naturalist. We’ll have plenty of time to look through Denise’s mushroom photography to help with identification. Then, we’ll wander through the back woods of the Dandelion Spring Farm grounds to put our new knowledge to the test searching for black trumpets and chanterelles with Denise’s hands-on guidance.
All are welcome!
** This event was postponed from its original date on August 10th. **
