Outstanding in the Field

On the hottest day of the summer about 140 guests came to the farm to sample tomatoes, drink beverages under the walnut trees, and feast at a long table. I felt bold and in my introductory words seeded some ideas for expansive conversations at the table – and the ideas were embraced! It was such a joy to see the smiles, the cross talk with people who just met, and the pure joy of eating in a field as late summer darkness rolled in. I’d do it all over again.
