Wild Foraging Walk with Cooking Demo & Tasting

Join artist, forager, and cook, Rachel Alexandrou, in walking the land at Dandelion Spring Farm to find and forage wild edibles. June is a month of fresh abundance, wild rose perfumes the air, wild grape leaves are supple for brining and cattails shoots tender for sauteing. The walk will last for 1.5 hours and the final 30 minutes will be a cooking and tasting demo of some of the prime edibles of the moment. Expect to learn how to identify, harvest and add wild edible plants to your cooking repertoire.

Rachel Alexandrou is an artist and forager who has been exploring the world of wild edible plants for the past 20 years. Rachel leads plant walks and wild feasts all around Maine. She has a B.S. in Sustainable Horticulture from the University of Maine and a 400 hour certificate in community herbalism from the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine.
