Currently the forecast is calling for rain. If is very rainy, you might want to skip this one. Our barn space is limited. Not too rainy.. come ahead, dressed warmly! We’d love to have you.
Last year these were amazing events, with a diverse crowd from our community in attendance, wood-fired pizza (from Uproot Pie Co.) and Oxbow beer. A family event, my memories are of kids running over hay bales, small groups touring the farm, and neighbors soaking it all in. We set up a version of our farmers’ market stand, too.
30 Brick Hill Rd, Newcastle, ME. (you’ll think you are in Edgecomb).
From Rt. 1 in Edgecomb, at the top of hill near the intersection with Rt. 27 toward Boothbay, take COCHRAN RD. (heading North). The turn is just South of Skip Cahill Sunoco station. Travel 7/10th’s of a mile. Turn down the drive on the right with the Straw Farm and Watershed signs at the top.
See you soon.
(We’ll repeat this party, every 2nd Wed. of the month through September)
Sounds awesome. In DC now but will try to make the next one.
