A selection of images from the year 2011.
2011 marked the hugely energetic transition of joining Dandelion Spring and Straw Farm ventures on the original Straw farm property. A new barn was built. Winter hit hard. Beth fled the scene for India. Lee patiently held down the farm. Lambing began. And there was much building, and then much farming with a fantastic crew. The year hurried into Fall and then Winter, and here we are. Looking forward into equal growth in the new year!

Beth,
I just noticed I am late in my ordering of meat this morning for the 8am cut off.
Would you be so kind to let me know if it is too late for this week?
Blessings,
Nancy
Dear Beth, I am appalled to read your e-mail today describing the “no-shows” for orders that had been placed – orders that you bundled and bagged, loaded, transported, unloaded and waited to be picked up. There should be some way to “charge” these thoughtless and wasteful creatures. Is there anyway to publish their names? I forgot to place my own order last time but now I know I can show up at the end of your scheduled time at Hello, Hello and make up for some other persons selfish thoughtlessness. Meanwhile, please know how much I appreciate that you provide this opportunity for the community to continue to buy your produce even during these harsh winter months. Warmest regards, Lynne
Lynne,
Thank you for your support. As I’ve learned to be a successful grower of food, I must also learn to be a successful business woman. I feel no need to out those who do not pick-up their goods. I do, on the other hand, feel the need to respect the availability of the product, and myself for that matter. Thanks for your understanding, and my voicing the “pay for what you pre-order” policy. -Beth
