Welcoming 2010 Apprentice Inquires and CSA Memberships!

Dandelion Spring, in Washington, Maine, is a small farm with an emphasis on mixed produced.  Our primary  focus is on four acres of garden space that will largely be dedicated to salad greens, tomatoes, and squash in 2010, although we do raise the full complement of produce.  We are no longer participating in the “organic” certification program although our respect for the soil and healthy growing practices has not changed.  This season we are looking forward to incorporating more biodynamic methods into our farming.

Pastured sheep and hogs, a few home chickens, and the ever-present farm dog round out the community.

We sell our produce at the Rockland (Thursday) and Portland (Saturday) farmers’ markets and to several mid-coast and southern Maine restaurants.  We welcome CSA shares for pick-up at the farmers’ markets during the heart of the growing season, and offer a winter CSA that comes as a more traditional farm packed option.
